FAQ

Q: What’s the dress code?

Semi-Formal.

We’d love for everyone to wear something that feels a little dressed up, but also comfortable enough to enjoy the day. The ceremony is in a historic church (with no air conditioning), and the reception will be in a garden with a buffet dinner. So, feel free to dress nicely without stressing about going all-out fancy.

We do have one color-related favor to ask: please avoid wearing white, ivory, cream, or very pale tones that could look bridal in photos, as those are reserved for the bride.

For women: dresses, jumpsuits, or coordinated separates are great — just maybe skip anything too casual like mini skirts or flip-flops. You’ll be walking a short distance from the church to the garden, and part of the reception will be on grass, so flats or block heels might be the comfiest choice. (Minori plans to be in flats all day!)

For men: dress shirts and slacks are perfect. A jacket or tie is totally up to you. Don will be in a tux for the ceremony, but will probably lose the jacket by the time the food is served.

If you want to dress up more, go for it! But mostly, we just want you to feel good, stay cool, and have fun.

Q: What’s the weather like in Manila in February?

February is one of the nicest months in Manila. It’s warm but not too humid, with temperatures usually in the mid 70s to mid 80s Fahrenheit (around 24 to 29 degrees Celsius). Rain is rare this time of year, but we still suggest breathable fabrics, especially for the church.

Q: Will transportation be provided to the venue?

We won’t be providing transportation, so we kindly ask guests to arrange their own travel to the ceremony. San Agustin Church is located in Intramuros, Manila, and is easy to reach by car or taxi. Grab (the local ride-hailing app) is reliable and widely used.

After the ceremony, there’s no need to worry about transport — the reception venue, Puerta Real Gardens, is just a short walk from the church. We’ll make sure it’s easy to find!

Q: When should we arrive?

We are confirming the details at the moment.

Q: Can we take photos or videos during the ceremony?

We kindly ask that guests put phones and cameras away during the ceremony. We want everyone to be fully present in the moment. We’ve hired a professional photo and video team who will capture everything beautifully, and we’ll be sharing those photos with you afterward.

After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you like during the reception. We’d love to see your pictures later too!

Q: Are there any places you recommend seeing while we’re in the Philippines?

Yes! We’re so excited that many of you are visiting the Philippines for the first time. Whether you have just an afternoon or a few extra days, there’s plenty to explore.

If you’re staying in Manila:

  • Intramuros (where the wedding and one of our pre-wedding events will be) is full of history. You can visit Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church, Plaza Roma, and walk along the old stone walls and quiet streets. We’ll be hosting a casual photo walk here the Saturday before the wedding.

  • National Museum Complex offers beautiful galleries and history exhibits, and is free to enter.

  • Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world, perfect for food lovers.

  • Greenbelt and BGC – great for shopping, cafes, and city strolls

If you’re planning a trip beyond Manila:

  • El Nido in Palawan is a favorite for its dramatic limestone cliffs, clear lagoons, and island hopping tours.

  • Other great spots include Cebu, Bohol, and Siargao for a mix of beaches, nature, and culture.

  • You might also enjoy Boracay (white sand and sunset views), Panglao (diving and snorkeling), or Camiguin (quiet island charm).

If you’re hoping to visit one of these islands, we suggest arriving in the Philippines at least 5 to 7 days before the wedding to allow time for travel and flexibility. Some guests are making it a longer trip — feel free to do the same!
